Matriarchy- a form of social organization in which females dominate males.

In America, individuality is greatly valued especially among teens like the ones in this movie.
Sexism- the belief that one sex is innately superior to the other.
Jessica displays this belief when she says, "boys are cheats and liars, they're such a big disgrace."
Gender Stratification- The unequal distribution of wealth, power, and privilege between men and women.
Jessica's mother Carol is a stay at home mom who takes care of the family where as Stan, her father, has a prestigious job and earns their families living.
Gender roles- attitudes and activities that a society links to each sex.
Carol is the mother of Jessica and Booger and is therefore supposed to nurture them and raise them according to ancient logic and rationale.
Minority- Any category of people distinguished by physical or cultural difference that a society sets apart and subordinates.
Hildenburg is larger than the majority of teenage girls and is therefore picked on by Jessica and her friends in the beginning of the movie.
Sexual Harassment- Comments, gestures, or physical contacts of a sexual nature that are deliberate, repeated, and unwelcome.
When Jessica, April, Lulu, Keecia, Hildenburg, and Eden go to a club they are hit on very inappropriately by some college guys. This is sexual harassment because it was vulgar and unwanted by any of the girls.
